Oilfield Lesson Learned on App of the day!

We recently had the opportunity for our app to be featured on the website "App Of The Day", a place that promotes apps and helps 750,000 users discover new apps to add to their mobile device. Below is part of the interview, click the link at the bottom to find the full article!

What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?

The lack of communication in remote work environments is incredible. When an incident happens on a site, most companies do a poor job of even sharing the incident within their company, much less with anyone else in the industry. This lack of knowledge creates the unacceptable environment that allows the repeating of preventable accidents.

In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.

Our app first off promotes the sharing of incidents by allowing the user to submit incidents anonymously. Many people dislike sharing their mistakes, so this encourages sharing without a hit to the pride. Our app has a great grading and filter system. Many lessons learned databases struggle with the black hole of too many lessons when they are not all created equal. Our grading allows moderators to rank which lessons are the best to keep users from being drowned in too much data.

What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?

The oilfield is just one of many dangerous industries. If we can find our niche here, we can then expand into other markets to encourage better sharing of best practices both for efficiency and more importantly safety. In the future we want our app to listen to our users and see what they want, from creating small procedure guides that they can edit, to deeper categories in their workplace.

Assuming new users of your app are reading this page. What do you want to ask them to do (contact you about X, Share the app, etc.)?

Give us feedback! It is certainly not perfect, and we are willing to listen to make it better. If your industry struggles with a lack of sharing knowledge reach out and we can see how to help!
